About us

It all began in the winter of 1986/1987 when Engelbert Bühler bought a children’s lift that was no longer in use. As a young ski instructor, he laid the foundation for the Malbun Ski School. In the years that followed, Engelbert had the pleasure of welcoming many a personality to his home. He not only taught members of the Princely House or heads of government to ski, but also the diving legend Hans Hass. And the success continues. Starting with seven ski instructors, he now not only employs up to 60 snow sports instructors, but also offers a wide range of winter sports. Today, he shares the management of the family business with his son Christoph. The fascination of winter sports is passed on to the next generation.

Special Offers

Saturday Course

For children from the age of four we offer the so-called Saturday course twice a year. On five consecutive Saturdays, the children can improve their skills in a playful way. Trained children’s ski instructors specifically cater to the needs of children and ensure varied lessons. The aim is to teach the children the basics of skiing or snowboarding, to improve their technique and to teach them how to enjoy snow sports.

If desired, the children can share the lunchtime with others and have a lot of fun next to the slopes. Our children’s ski instructors look after the little guests around lunchtime.

Moonlight Lesson

Taking a skiing or snowboarding lesson in the moonlight has to be experienced. In Sareis or Malbi Park when the moon is full and the weather is good when the mountain railways are in operation, our snow sports instructors are available by prior arrangement to enjoy a skiing or snowboarding lesson with you. This experience is only available in Malbun and you have to try it out.

Returners Lesson

Who does feel like putting on their skis and skiing in good snow and weather conditions? You haven’t skied for a while? No problem! Test your skills with a few taster hours in Liechtenstein’s Malbun winter sports area. In cooperation with Liechtenstein Marketing, Malbun Sport, and mountain railways, we offer introductory courses for adults two days a week in January and March. Simply register up to two days before the appointment and off to Malbun. Look forward to a few sporty hours in the snow.
